about

Parul Sen is a visual artist whose vibrant digital works capture the architectural charm and nostalgia of inner Melbourne’s iconic cafes and buildings. Originally from Jaipur, India—known as the “Pink City”—she brought her heritage and love of urban landscapes to Melbourne, inspiring her business name, Pink Wattle.

Working primarily on an iPad with Procreate, Parul’s art seamlessly blends the painterly with the digital. Her ongoing series, “Cafes of Melbourne,” reflects her connection to the local landmarks. Through her art, she explores the human connection to the places we frequent, evoking a sense of shared memory and nostalgia.

Her current pop-up shop, on Errol Street in North Melbourne, is part of the City of Melbourne's Creative Spaces program. Through these works, she invites viewers to reflect on their connections to the buildings, cafes, and neighbourhoods that shape their everyday lives.
